Solution Overview
The High-Speed & High-Density Optical Interconnect solution addresses the increasing demand for high-bandwidth, low-latency fiber connectivity in modern data centers. Designed for enterprise, cloud, and hyperscale environments, it provides a structured framework for consolidating fiber connections while maximizing rack density. Explosive growth in AI computing, cloud storage, and virtualization is pushing traditional infrastructures to their limits. By integrating high-speed optical interconnects with dense cabling layouts, this solution ensures efficient resource utilization, predictable latency, and scalable network growth across server clusters, storage arrays, and aggregation points. This solution is built on a foundation of parallel optics readiness (MPO/MTP) and ultra-high-density patching, transforming the optical layer from a static cost center into a dynamic, scalable asset.
Industry Challenges
● Limited rack space restricting dense fiber deployments.
● Bandwidth bottlenecks caused by legacy fiber patching infrastructure.
● Operational complexity when scaling or upgrading network nodes.
● Signal loss and crosstalk from dense fiber bundles.
● Difficulty maintaining standardized fiber connections across multiple vendors.
Solution Architecture & Technical Approach
●Foundation: Parallel Optical Connectivity. We deploy pre-terminated MPO/MTP trunk cables as the backbone, natively supporting 8/12/16/24-fiber counts for seamless migration from 40G/100G to 400G/800G standards.
●Consolidation: Ultra-High-Density (UHD) Optical Distribution. Fiber trunks terminate into UHD patch panels at the top-of-rack (ToR) or end-of-row (EoR). These panels provide front-accessible, modular patching in minimal rack space (e.g., 144 ports in 1U), eliminating rear-rack spaghetti.
●Optimization: Intelligent Breakout and Patching. From the UHD panels, LC or SN breakout harnesses deliver flexible connectivity to switches and servers. This creates a clean, structured patching zone that is easy to manage, test, and reconfigure.
Key Features & Advantages
● High-density fiber deployment: MPO-based trunking and UHD panels dramatically increase port density per rack unit, reclaiming space for servers and switches and improving airflow management.
● Plug-and-Play Deployment: Factory-terminated and tested trunk cables and harnesses eliminate on-site fiber splicing, accelerating installation, ensuring consistent optical performance, and reducing skill dependencies.
● Clear, Standards-Based Migration Path: The multi-fiber MPO backbone is inherently designed to support successive generations of higher-speed optics (e.g., 100G SR4 to 400G SR8). Upgrades often require only changing the breakout module at the panel, not the installed trunk cable.
●Enhanced Operational Control: Structured patching zones with logical port numbering and labeling simplify moves, adds, and changes (MACs), reduce errors, and speed up troubleshooting.
● Optimized Optical Performance: Precision components and engineered cable management minimize bend radius violations and protect end-face cleanliness, supporting robust link budgets for 400G DR4/FR4 and similar demanding applications.
Applications & Use Scenarios
● Data center optical interconnection for cloud computing platforms.
● High-speed server-to-server fiber communication clusters.
● High-performance computing (HPC) environments.
● Storage area network (SAN) fiber aggregation points.
● Enterprise core and aggregation network optical upgrades.
