Tight buffer fiber refers to a type of fiber optic cable in which the optical fiber is coated with a layer of protective material,
typically made of PVC or similar materials, that tightly adheres to the fiber. This protective layer, more commonly known as
“tight buffer coating,” is designed to provide additional mechanical protection to the fiber itself, as well as to protect it from
moisture and other environmental factors that could cause damage or signal loss. 

The tightly bound buffer coating also prevents the fiber from buckling or shifting, which is particularly important in applications
where the cable may be subjected to frequent bending or handling. Tight buffer fiber is commonly used in applications that
require high flexibility and durability, such as indoor or outdoor installations, patch cables, and various industrial, military or
aerospace applications.
